THE PHILIP WILSON EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP (2) The Philip Wilson Educational Scholarship is being offered by the family of Philip Wilson, an educator in the Tawas Area Schools for thirty years. To be eligible you must be a senior at Tawas Area High School, plan to study in the field of education, demonstrate good school attendance and maintain a GPA of at least a 3.25. TAWAS BRAVES BOOSTER CLUB SCHOLARSHIP
The Tawas Braves Booster Club is offering a scholarship to one female senior athlete and one male senior athlete. Must have been enrolled for four years at Tawas Area High School, played at least two varsity sports in senior year and maintain an overall 2.5 GPA or higher. OSCODA-WURTSMITH AIRPORT STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
In the past this program has been awarded for flight training ground school and flight lessons. Applicants may now utilize this scholarship for tuition assistance at a univeristy, college or aviation training school. All application materials must be submitted to the Airport Authority no later than April 1, 2014.
MCDONALD'S YOUTH ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
A $1,000.00 scholarship is being offerd through McDonald's of Tawas for one area high school senior. This award, named after McDonald's Corporation founder, honors students who demonstrate the characheristics exemplified by Ray Kroc- persistence, determination, hard work and all-around excellence. Information can be found in the Counseling Office with a deadline date back to office of: April 25, 2014.
FRATERNAL ORDER OF THE EAGLES SCHOLARSHIP (Two - $500.00) The Fraternal Order of the Eagles #2588 of East Tawas Scholarship applications are now available in the Counseling Office. You must be a graduation senior, have a stament of goals, two recommendation letters from school personnel and two from non-school personnel. THE HOLY FAMILY COUNCIL OF CATHOLIC WOMEN SCHOLARSHIP
Applicants must be members of Holy Family Church, active in the youth ministry, plan on attending post-secondary institution and carry at least a GPA of 2.5. Applications are available in the Counseling Office and must be returned to the office by: May 9, 2014.
THE THOMAS PINTKOWSKI MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
One female and one male will receive a $500.00 scholarship. You must have been a member of at least one varsity athletic team during your senior year, plan on attending a post-secondary institution and carry a minimum GPA of 3.0. WHITTEMORE SPEEDWAY SCHOLARSHIP
The Whittemore Racing Club is offering (3) $500.00 scholarships to area high school seniors. Information can be found in the Counseling Office. Applications must be recieved by May, 2014 to address given.
RYAN COLMAN SCHOLARSHIP
This $1,000.00 scholarship was created to perpetuate the memory of Ryan Coleman, a Tawas High School student who died of cancer. Applicants must be a high school senior who's overall GPA falls betewen 2.5 and 3.5, however others may apply. Applications are available in the Counseling Office. Completed applications must be returned to the High School Counseling Office by: April 9, 2014.

Applications are now availble for the Tawas Area Education Foundation scholarhips. The Education foundation covers six diffent scholarships. Two letters of recommendation are required. TAWAS KIWANIS CLUB SCHOLARSHIP (Two - $500.00) The Kiwanis Club of Tawas has scholarship applications available in the counseling office. The scholarship is available to ALL SENIORS accepted to a 2 or 4 year college and should be accompanied by one letter of recommendation from a teacher or school administrator and one other letter of recommendation. THE QUOTA INTERNATIONAL CLUB OF IOSCO COUNTY SCHOLARSHIP
This $500.00 scholarship is offered to a high school senior who meets one of these requirements: Has a documented hearing impairment, has a documented speech communicative disorder (or) plan on working with a teaching hearing, speech impaired persons (or) plans on working in the audiology/speech patholgy field. SAND LAKE WOMEN'S AUXILIARY SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
This scholarship is available to seniors (male & female) who qualify from Iosco County. This scholarship is dependent upon the student's current GPA, enrollment status, co-curricular as well as extra-curricular activites. ST. JOSEPH HEALTH SYSTEM COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIPS
One $400.00 community scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior from any of these districts: Alcona, Arenac-Eastern, AuGres, Hale, Oscoda, Tawas or Whittemore-Prescott and who is pursuing a career in a health care related field. Students must carry a minimum GPA of a 2.0, be involved in extracurricular activities or community volunteerism and (for college student, be enrolled full-time carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours.) ELKS NATIONAL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
The Elks National Foundation Scholarship applications are availbale in the counseling office or online at http://www.elks.org/enf/scholars/mvs.cfm where you can submit electronically. A significant component of the scoring system is based on the overall professional appearance of the application. Areas covered are work experience, community service, leadership, extra-curricular activities, honrors and awards. ELKS GOLD KEY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
This scholarship is intended to aid qualifying applicants, who could not otherwise continue their education or training past high school, and is available for study at an accredited collge, university, licensed trade or vocational school.
