Philosophy:

The staff of Tawas Area Junior High School believes that our students can achieve mastery of basic grade level skills, regardless of their previous academic performance, family background, socio-economic status, race, or gender. We futher affirm that it is the role of our school and staff to challenge every student to his or her highest level of academic performance while also encouraging positive growth in self-esteem, social/emotional behavior, and attitude. We willingly accept the responsibilities and challenges of education and will strive for only the best from both students and all school personel.
