HORATIO ALGER ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP

Since 1984 Horatio Alger has provided financial assistance to students throughout the nation who have significant financial need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity.  Eligibility includes high school graduation in spring/summer, demonstrates critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross income), and US citizen.  Apply online at Horatio Alger Deadline October 25, 2019

Bad Credit Wealth Wise Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to students that are interested in a field of study in finance, business, accounting, mathematics, management.  To qualify for this scholarship you must have maintained a 3.5 GPA and be a U.S. resident.  Visit Bad Credit for more information .  The application deadline is December 31, 2018

Caregivers Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to students that are interested in a field of study in gerontology or senior care.  To qualify for this scholarship you must be actively enrolled or accepted to attend a U.S.. college or university pursuing a career in senior care.  Visit  Senior Care for more information.  The application deadline is December 31, 2018

Helena Acre Home Grown Scholarship 

This scholarship is offered to students that are interested in a field of study in agriculture and/or a science major and pursuing a two or a four year degree.  Visit Helena home grown for more information.  The application deadline is January 31, 2019

Delta College has scholarships that are available and can be found at Delta's Webpage.  All applications are due by February 7, 2019.

Michigan Education Association Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to students that are a dependent of an MEA or MEA-Retired member in good standings, a graduate of a Michigan public school or private high school that has an MEA bargaining unit, and will attend or is currently and undergraduate student of a Michigan public community/junior college, four year degree granting institution, or vocational training institution that grants a degree.    Visit  MEA Scholarship for more information.  The application deadline is February 21, 2019

Recovery Village Health Care Scholarship

Mesothelium Guide Scholarship

This scholarship is available to students who have had Mesothelioma, might have lost a loved one to it or been affected by it in some way.  These scholarships are offered for both Fall and Spring semesters. Senior Care Scholarship

Teach Early Childhood Scholarships

Kelsey’s Law Distracted Driving Awareness Scholarship

Community Choice Credit Union Foundation

The Community Choice Credit Union Foundation is pleased to announce that it is now accepting application.  High school students who will be graduating in 2019, and will be attending a two or four year program at a Michigan college or university are encouraged to apply.  College scholarships of up to $5,000.00 each will be awarded to those who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, involvement in extra-curricular activities, and dedication to community service.  Eligible applicants must plan on attending a Michigan college or university, and must pledge to stay in Michigan after college.  Applicants will be evaluated based on grade point average, dedication to serving their community and a written essay.  Winners of the scholarships will be notified as soon as the final results are determined.  Accepting applications through February, 2019.  Visit: Community Choice  

2018 GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program

This national program awards college scholarships to high school seniors who embody the characteristics of President Ronald Reagan at school, in the community, in the workplace and at home.  Applicants must show Leadership, Drive, Integrity and Citizenship.  For more information and application go to: Reagan Foundation  .  Deadline date:  January 2019.

 2018 Student-View Scholarship Program

A quick and easy scholarship to apply for $7,000.00 worth of scholarships to high school seniors who plan to attend a four-year college, community college or career school. No minimum ACT score or grade point average, no essay required, no lengthy application forms and no application fees. Michigan Sugar Scholarships

The Michigan Sugar Queen Scholarship offers one $2,000.00 scholarship and two $1,000.00 scholarships to three top candidates. The scholarships are offered on a competitive basis to females at least 18 years old who has maintained an overall 3.0 grade point average for the past four years and will be continuing her studies at an accredited college in the state of Michigan. Michigan Retailers Association

The Michigan Retailers Association is offering a $1,500.00 (4 year college) or $1,000.00 (2 year college) scholarship to a student who is employed at a business or whose parents are and that is a member of MRA. Check with employer to see if they are members. Awards are not based on financial need. Applications and information can be found online at: Michigan Retailers . Applications must be requested by March 15 and submitted by April 1, 2019.

Rosa Parks Scholarship Foundation

This is a $2,000.00 non-renewable scholarship offered to graduating seniors. Winners are selected on the basis of scholarship, leadership, financial need, and dedication to the civil rights principles of Rosa L. Parks, whose historic stand against racial prejudice in 1955 brought her national recognition. Applicants must: Graduate by August 2017, have a 2.5 GPA or above, describe financial need, complete application form and essay, document community activities, confirm admission to university or college, furnish official copies of high school transcript and ACT results and furnish three letters of recommendation. Burger King Scholarships

Burger King offers $1,000.00, $5,000.00 and $25,000.00 scholarships to all eligible high school seniors and Burger King employees. Applicants must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher, work part-time, be active in community service and demonstrate financial need. Visit Burger King for more information. Applications are available online Oct. 15, 2018 - Dec. 15, 2018.

Michigan Society of Professional Engineers

Michigan Society of Professional Engineers has 36 scholarships available to high school seniors! Get online and check them out. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and a minimum ACT score of 26. Visit Michigan Society for more information. Deadline is February 2019 to applicants local chapter (Huron Shores). 

The American Legion Scholarships 

Visit the Michigan American Legion's website for information on Programs such as: Student Trooper, Boys State, Girls State, Baseball Techniques and many more, plus scholarship opportunities.  Students must be a son, daughter, grandchild or great-grandchild of a war-time veteran planning to attend any Michigan accredited college or university.  Visit American Legion  for more information.  There are various deadlines of Jan-May 2019.

Medical Career Scholarship 

A $500.00 scholarship for men and women pursuing medical careers. Candidates must be a sons or daughters, granddaughters or grandsons of veterans of Foreign Wars ( WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Grenada & Lebanon, Panama, Persian Gulf to present).  Visit Medical Career  for more information.  Applications must be submitted by March 2019.

Michigan Tour Guide Scholarship

Applicants must be currently enrolled at or planning to attend a four-year university, graduate program, community college, or trade school located in the continental United States. Upon notification, winner(s) must supply a current proof of enrollment or letter of acceptance. National President's Scholarship 

Candidates for this award shall be daughters, granddaughters, sons or grandsons of veterans who served in the Armed Forces ( WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Grenada & Lebanon, Panama, Persian Gulf to present). Applicants must be in their senior year of high school.
