Since 1984 Horatio Alger has provided financial assistance to students throughout the nation who have significant financial need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity.  Eligibility includes high school graduation in spring/summer, demonstrates critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross income), and US citizen.  Apply online at Horatio Alger Deadline October 25, 2020

Bad Credit Wealth Wise Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to students that are interested in a field of study in finance, business, accounting, mathematics, management.  To qualify for this scholarship you must have maintained a 3.5 GPA and be a U.S. resident.  Visit Bad Credit for more information .  The application deadline is December 31, 2020

Caregivers Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to students that are interested in a field of study in gerontology or senior care.  To qualify for this scholarship you must be actively enrolled or accepted to attend a U.S.. college or university pursuing a career in senior care.  Visit  Senior Care for more information.  The application deadline is December 31, 2020

Delta College

Delta College has scholarships that are available and can be found at Delta's Webpage.  All applications are due by February 3, 2021.

Michigan Education Association Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to students that are a dependent of an MEA or MEA-Retired member in good standings, a graduate of a Michigan public school or private high school that has an MEA bargaining unit, and will attend or is currently and undergraduate student of a Michigan public community/junior college, four year degree granting institution, or vocational training institution that grants a degree.    Visit  MEA Scholarship for more information.  The application deadline is February 20, 2020 Financial Futures Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to students pursuing a degree in Business, finance or others related to the personal finance industry.  Visit Card Rate for more information.  Deadline date to address given:  July 31, 2021.

Kelsey’s Law Distracted Driving Awareness Scholarship

This scholarship is available to students who are Michigan high school juniors and seniors attending any public or private Michigan high school.   Visit Kelsey Law for more information   Deadline date:  March 13, 2021

Western Golf Association Evans Scholars Foundation

Each year, more than 800 deserving caddies attend college on full tuition and housing grants from the Evans Scholars Foundation. Visit Evans Scholars Foundation for more information. Deadline date October 30, 2020

American Legion

The American Legion (Department of Michigan) has opportunities for ALL students to earn scholarships.   Deadlines vary on the different scholarships.

Saginaw Valley State University

The Dow Corning Foundation – SVSU – Community STEM Partnership Scholarship is available to incoming full-time SVSU freshmen whose K-12 school district participated in the Dow Corning Foundation/SVSU Community STEM Partnership Program and are pursuing a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) major. Essay responses will be given significant consideration in the selection process, so applicants are strongly encouraged to do their best work. Awards may be renewed for an additional year assuming the student continues full-time enrollment and remains in good academic standing at SVSU.  SAGINAW VALLEY STEM SCHOLARSHIP Deadline is April 1, 2021

The Rove Pest Control Scholarship

Offered to graduating seniors for 2018.  Although this scholarship is open to anyone seeking a higher education, special consideration will be given to anyone pursuing a degree in entomology or a related field. 2021 GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program

This national program awards college scholarships to high school seniors who embody the characteristics of President Ronald Reagan at school, in the community, in the workplace and at home.  Applicants must show Leadership, Drive, Integrity and Citizenship.  For more information and application go to: Reagan Foundation  .  Deadline date:  January 5 2021.

Michigan Sugar Scholarships

The Michigan Sugar Queen Scholarship offers one $2,000.00 scholarship and two $1,000.00 scholarships to three top candidates. The scholarships are offered on a competitive basis to females at least 18 years old who has maintained an overall 3.0 grade point average for the past four years and will be continuing her studies at an accredited college in the state of Michigan. Rosa Parks Scholarship Foundation

This is a $2,000.00 non-renewable scholarship offered to graduating seniors. Winners are selected on the basis of scholarship, leadership, financial need, and dedication to the civil rights principles of Rosa L. Parks, whose historic stand against racial prejudice in 1955 brought her national recognition. Applicants must: Graduate by August 2017, have a 2.5 GPA or above, describe financial need, complete application form and essay, document community activities, confirm admission to university or college, furnish official copies of high school transcript and ACT results and furnish three letters of recommendation. Michigan Society of Professional Engineers

Michigan Society of Professional Engineers has 36 scholarships available to high school seniors! Get online and check them out. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and a minimum ACT score of 26. Visit Michigan Society for more information. Deadline is February 2020 to applicants local chapter (Huron Shores). 

National President's Scholarship 

Candidates for this award shall be daughters, granddaughters, sons or grandsons of veterans who served in the Armed Forces ( WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Grenada & Lebanon, Panama, Persian Gulf to present). Applicants must be in their senior year of high school. Applicant must complete 50 hours of volunteer service within the community.  Visit National Presidents for more Information.  Applications deadline is March 2020

MHSAA Scholar-Athlete Award

Senior student athletes (male & female) meeting the requirements of: 3.5 GPA and having earned at least one varsity letter in an MHSAA sport can submit an application for the MHSAA Scholar-Athlete. Stop in the counseling office for information to get the code or visit: MHSAA   Deadline is December 6, 2019
