Kirsten Mikkola has been accepted into the All State Honors Choir which will take place at the Michigan Youth Arts Festival May 9th-11th! This is a HUGE honor! The singers who scored the highest at the Regional Honors Choir event are chosen to participate in this group. So out of the 350 students that participated in the State Honors Choirs, they take the top 100 students. Kirsten has worked so hard and is so deserving of this honor!
Kirsten Mikkola and Haley Skarin were chosen to participate in the State Honors Choir and the All State Band at the Michigan Music Conference on January 26th in Grand Rapids, MI. Both girls had to audition and were chosen from thousands of students across the state to participate in these groups. The competitiveness of getting accepted into these ensembles is a true testament to these young ladies’ talents. Tawas has never had students make it into these ensembles, so this is a huge honor for them and for our school! We are so proud to have them represent our Fine Arts Department.
