This is my ninth year at Tawas Area Schools. Throughout my teaching career, I have taught various grades. They are 1st, 2nd, 3rd and now 4th. This is my 3rd year teaching 4th grade.

I was born and raised in Flint and graduated in 2002. I then attended the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor where I received a Bachelor's Degree in History. I received my teaching degree from Eastern Michigan University in 2011.

I am married to Derek Sapikowski.  We have 2 children; Sydney is 7 and going into 2nd grade this year at Clara Bolen and Sadie is 4 years old.  We like to spend our time camping, doing lots of water activities and spending time together. We love to see lots of different things and go lots of different places. 

We have 2 cats and 1 dog. Felix is an orange tabby that acts more like a dog that our Springer Spaniel Memphis does! We also have a black and white tuxedo cat named Chester. They all love to play and cuddle.
