A note from NEMSCA:

please help if you can

Dear Friends,

There’s never been a time where we needed you more.
I’m writing to enlist you to join us in raising emergency funds for the Northeast Michigan Community Service Agency (NEMCSA).

DTE Foundation has generously offered to double the donation of any gift made to the Michigan Community Action Emergency Needs Fund between March 30 and midnight Thursday, April 16th.

To make a gift benefiting NEMCSA please click this link or paste it into your internet browser (mcac.memberclicks.net/greatestneeds#/ ).
NEMCSA is part of Michigan's network of twenty-eight Community Action Agencies providing quality services to meet the needs of their communities, covering all 83 counties of the state.

Community Action Agencies are key to ensuring that vulnerable and under-resourced people are helped during the COVID-19 pandemic and in the aftermath of this unprecedented blow to our nation and our state's economic stability.  To double the dollars you contribute today, go to mcac.memberclicks.net/greatestneeds#/
The dedication of the members of the CAA network to implement federal, state and local guidance will slow down the spread of the COVID-19 disease and will be a key component of our state strategy to keep Michiganders safe and connect them to needed resources, especially staffing and supplies connected to emergency food and housing assistance.
Like many organizations, businesses, schools, events, and activities are canceled, closed, and suspended, Community Action Agencies have remained operational by implementing emergency plans designed to continue to provide critical services while adhering to guidance from local health authorities, the State of Michigan's Department of Health and Human Services and the Center for Disease Control.

Michigan Community Action agencies will also play a key role in what will likely be a long and painful recovery process, particularly for low-income Michiganders.  Thank you for joining me to care for our hardest hit and vulnerable – our poor, our elderly and our young who rely on Community Action.  Stay safe and thank you for all that you do to help others.

Thank you,

Lisa Bolen
