Tawas Area Schools is excited to share that one of our very own, Evan Mochty, has been awarded the Michigan Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (MIAAA) Scholarship. This award recognizes students in its 13 regions that flourish in both academic and athletic excellence and are committed to the service to his or her local community. A total of 13 scholarships are given in the state. Congratulations to Evan on receiving this highly competitive award. We are proud of you!
Upon receiving this award, Evan shared: "I am very honored and thankful to be chosen as the MIAAA recipient! I plan on using this $1,000 scholarship to help fund my education at either Michigan State University or Ferris State University to study Civil/Surveying Engineering. I am excited and honored to represent my family, Tawas Area High School, and the MIAAA Organization."
