Regular Meeting Schedule

The regular meetings of the Tawas Area Board of Education are always held on the second (2nd) Monday of each month, unless changes are indicated. The Tawas Area Board of Education also reserves the fourth (4th) Monday of each month for optional board meetings or committee meetings.

Meeting Location & Minutes

All meetings are held in the boardroom at the Administration Office, 245 W. M-55, Tawas City, MI 48763, 989-984-2250 (unless otherwise properly notified).

Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. throughout the entire year. Proposed minutes of said meetings will be available for public inspection during regular business hours at 245 W. M-55, Tawas City, MI not more than eight (8) business days after said meetings. Approved minutes of said meetings will be available for public inspection during regular business hours at the same location not more than five (5) business days after the meeting at which they are approved. Copies of the minutes shall also be available at the reasonable estimated cost for printing and copying.  Minutes are also posted on the district website (www.tawas.net) following board approval.

Upon oral or written request for a subscription and payment of a fee established by the Board, minutes shall be mailed to any person or business by first class mail. The subscription may be valid for up to six (6) months.
