Bio

I was born into a family of educators, so naturally I became one myself. I grew up not knowing my grandmother was a teacher. When I first began college, I was shocked to hear how many of my past relatives chose teaching as a lifetime occupation. After being exposed to the environment of a school and classroom, I can see why they decided this field. There is nothing more rewarding than enriching a young person's mind and way of life.

This school year I have another chance to be a Brave. Before I was a Brave, I was a Lancer at Bullock Creek and then I continued my education as a SVSU Cardinal, where I have decided to return for my Master's Degree in Instructional Technology, which I received in the Spring of 2020. Upon my initial graduation from SVSU in 2012, I began my teaching career at Sylvan Learning Center. At Sylvan, I learned tools and techniques for working with struggling students and students wishing to advance their skills further. I am most familiar with working with students in Reading, the ACT, and now the SAT.

When I was given the opportunity to work with students at Tawas, I began to pack my bags. I look forward to another year as a teacher at Tawas Area High School.
