The Tawas Area Band Boosters conducts monthly meetings. All meetings start at 7:30 pm

Here is a list of different ways to get involved:

  • Football games: Moving equipment, golf cart, water coolers, cups, blankets, Drum Major podium, percussion/pit equipment movement, assist Band Director as needed

  • Assist at the Bazaar: Set-up and tear down, kitchen, quilt raffle, 50/50 raffle, assist Bazaar Chair, etc.

  • Assist with apple dumpling construction: Making dough, selling dumplings, writing letters, inventory, etc.

  • Help sell 50/50 raffle tickets at the Bazaar and concerts

  • Publicity: Collecting pictures and writing articles to be submitted to the paper/newsletter by noon Monday after an event has taken place

  • Chaperone events, drive truck to pull trailer w/ equipment or provide truck/trailer to haul equipment

  • Memorial and July 4th Parades: Contact parents to donate snacks, drinks, necessary supplies for parade, assist with obtaining chaperones for helping with parades

  • Provide snacks/drinks for events

  • Kitchen concessions: Work events where concessions are needed, prepare foods, run cash register, serve food

  • Uniform assistance: Assist uniform chair person with fitting, distribution, collection, organization, sewing/repairing, and concert/festivals

  • Fundraising: Collecting/counting money, phone calling, etc.

  • Classroom help: Copying, filing, etc.

  • Solo and Ensemble: as needed

  • Band Camp: Organization and chaperones

  • Contacting and organizing volunteers for various band activities
