Hello, my name is Kristen Wood. I started teaching Kindergarten in 2021 and absolutely love teaching and residing in Tawas with my family. My husband Bob and I have three kids, Ryan, Nolan, and Emily. I have a diverse educational background and graduated from Central Michigan University in 2007. I also went to nursing school and obtained my LPN license but soon discovered after several years of volunteering, subbing, and working as a parapro that teaching in the classroom was my passion. I am taking an alternative route to teaching and although very busy, I am enjoying every step of the process! My family and I like to travel and be outdoors, enjoying activities such as mountain biking, hiking, and camping.
